Lou is the founder and Producer of the WBIG familiy of publications.  He’s been active in politics most of his adult life, and the passion to build the WBIG into an independent press organization that is respected for its independent journalism, educating the public on stories and issues often not discussed in today’s biased and controlled media.

I was born in New York City and raised on Long Island, and enjoyed a great childhood, being blessed with great parents, a brother, two sisters, and close extended family. Attended Fordham University on a full baseball scholarship, graduating with an accounting degree. Upon graduating Fordham, enjoyed a successful, but brief, stint in the corporate word before heading out to Montana to try my hands as a businessman. I worked in the lumber mills before building a log restaurant, bar, motel, and trailer park outside of Yellowstone Park. Married and raised our two children in Montana. Elected to the school board and subsequently very active in politics and the liberty movement.

After 20 years, returned back East, where once again I enjoyed a very successful, but brief, stint in the corporate world before building a transport company in Totowa, New Jersey, with a partner which ultimately employed 50 people. Once again, became active in politics, but this time with the Libertarian Party. I ran for New Jersey State Representative, then for US Congress in the 8th Congressional District in New Jersey, and subsequently served as the State Chair for the Libertarian Party of New Jersey for 2 years. Worked on a number of initiatives, including walking across the state of New Jersey in support of medical marijuana.

After my partner’s untimely death while in the vehicle transportation business, I moved to northeastern Pennsylvania, where, once again, I became active in politics. Worked on a number of campaigns and served once again as Chair for the Libertarian Party, but this time in Pennsylvania. Served as Bob Barr’s Northeast Regional Campaign Director in 2008, and as the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Campaign Directors for the 2012 Gary Johnson campaign. I’m currently elected to serve on the National Libertarian Judicial Committee.

My passion today is to build the WBIG into an independent press organization that is respected for its independent journalism, educating the public on stories and issues often not discussed in today’s biased and controlled media. I love life, have four grandchildren, and one on the way. I have traveled North America extensively, going places where few do. As the late John Denver sang, “It’s been a good life, all in all.”  It sure has, but there’s still much to do!
