In the wake of an FBI raid on an LAG Transportation property located in Duryea today, the City of Wilkes-Barre condemned the LAG Towing property located at 307 Carey Ave, Wilkes-Barre. The notice posted on LAG’s Wilkes-Barre cite is time- and date-stamped “3 PM 8/13/14, by order of the City’s Bureau of Code Enforcement.”
When Temple University student Brandon Villano’s 2004 Dodge Neon was stolen from the front of his Wilkes-Barre City residence on August 18, Villano’s girlfriend posted a photo of the car in the Wilkes-Barre Crime Watch Coalition Facebook group, asking crime watch members to “please keep a look out for it.”
The potential lawsuit being floated by local Attorney Joseph Sklarosky, counselor for LAG Towing owner Leo Glodzik III, might be better identified as a SLAPP rather than a lawsuit to curb the “false and malicious” statements that Leo Glodsik has accused Councilman Tony George of reporting to local media and at Wilkes-Barre City Council meetings.
