Lackawanna County observance of National Missing Children’s Day to be held Monday, May 25

National Missing Children’s Day is Monday, May 25. A special program will be conducted at The Michelle Jolene Lakey Kiosk on the Spruce Street side of the Lackawanna County Courthouse at 1 p.m.
Remarks will be made by President Judge Thomas Munley, Attorney John Brazil, past president of the Scranton School Board, and Commissioner Patrick M. O’Malley. Families and relatives of missing children throughout the area will also offer remarks.
“Children are the greatest gift in parents’ lives,” Commissioner O’Malley noted. At the program, he will remind parents to be vigilant, keep youngsters close and stress safety at all times.
The public is invited to attend.
