BaloneyGate Update
A preliminary investigation by the Independent Gazette has unearthed apparent discrepancies between publicly-available inmate menus for the Luzerne County Prison and foodstuff invoices dated from late 2011 through November 2012. Invoices for products such as bacon, cantaloupes, and strawberries have been confirmed and appear to conflict with meal options presented to prison inmates. These documents also appear to contradict statements made by prison Warden Joseph Piazza before the County Council at a budget meeting held on December 4th.
