Silence is Compliance: The tireless minority

How long will this madness of an apparent lost society go on? It’s a question I find myself asking more and more. This country has drifted so far from a prospering, respected nation where, more or less, people had the freedom to go about their lives without being concerned if the government would extort, beat, or kill them for doing absolutely nothing, to whatever you want to call this place now.

Honestly, I think there will have to be a new word invented to describe modern America. History is plagued with tyranny and oppression, no matter how far back you go, but the difference here is twofold. On the one hand most people here don’t know what freedom is, so they think being extorted by a corrupt government is okay — police can kill with impunity, too, and that’s okay because those wearing badges are somehow above the law. Overall they think that this is just the way it is: wave the flag, talk about how great America is, but not really knowing much past that. Evidently, in the minds of most Americans they are free because they get a chance to watch television after working an 8-hour, or 10-hour, or 12-hour shift with the hopes of getting a little break before they die.

Everything is about control, and unless you want to be an overt, literal slave to the State then you might want to pay attention . . .

Courtesy Ben Garrison,

Then you have another group, people who straight-up don’t care about anything of significance . . . they just couldn’t care less. They can name all the players on their favorite sports team but can’t tell you one current event, or any new legislation that will affect their lives.

All about control
The cornerstone in this country now is control. Everything is about control, and unless you want to be an overt, literal slave to the State then you might want to pay attention, because we’re now that close to such a scenario. Every time one of these “officials” speaks to the nation on national television I have to cringe as I wonder if this will be the time when they just openly decree that “for the security of the country” there will be no more orchestrated shows to give you the illusion that you’ve voted in a new “leader” . . . because you need to know your place.

There will be no more talk of legislation or writing your congressman because the Oligarchy will do what it wants, anyway, and will do it nakedly. Basically, an open authoritarianism where we are all slaves to the State.

You might think that’s crazy talk, and that it can never happen here, because, well, because ’Murica! I’m sorry to inform you that it has happened here, and the only difference is that the perpetrators haven’t rubbed your face in it quite like that . . . yet!

The police brutality, misconduct, and overt abuse of power is off the charts. And if you try exposing their corruption they target you. I can attest to that on based several of my own experiences. When it comes to the “mainstream” media, for the most part we are listening to mockingbirds who work for a corporation. Whether they realize or not, they are toeing the line for some agenda. Sure, some good stories do come out, with some decent coverage and analysis, but when it comes to the overall picture of what is happening in this country it seems everybody is in denial.

Discredit dissenters
The new card that is played is “conspiracy theorist” — that’s their favorite. You can question anything you want and even talk about any conspiracy you fancy, but the second you say that you’re having doubts about what the media or government claim, that they might be trying to mislead people, the “conspiracy theorist” card is thrown. It has been a remarkably effective method to marginalize people who have the courage to go against the flow and question those who claim authority over you.

While it might not stop the dissenters entirely, it induces many other people to push back them and say, “That’s that crazy conspiracy talk,” because we all know that it’s beyond the realm of possibility for the media and the government to lie to us.

So as we approach the holiday season, many of my compatriots will feel like the black sheep of the family. While everyone around you is talking about entertainment and sports, you know that there are so many important things to talk about and that a family gathering would actually be the perfect place to hash them out.

Realize that this is the result of mass indoctrination, seek to find a crack in the armor, and exploit it. I know the odds are staggering, but aren’t they always? We dissenters can take solace in this, that “it does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men.” Let’s set those fires.

  • Anthony Antonello
  • Following six years in the military, and much time as a medic and firefighter, Anthony Antonello has witnessed the ups and downs in life. From spending time fighting for the United States military, to the everyday horror covered on the local news, Antonello was there, witnessing events most only see from the comfort of their homes on a TV screen. Not allowing those images to simply absorb in the noise of the mainstream media, there was only one thing left to do for the man from Northeastern Pennsylvania: become politically active. Antonello now travels the country, covering stories and events to show people firsthand what the mainstream media refuse to show —and asking questions the mainstream media refuse to ask using whatever means possible to get people thinking.
